Tingling Lips Herpes?

About 30 hours before I felt a strong tingling sensation and burning I made out with a girl I met for about less than a minute, she had no visible cold sores and denied ever having herpes.

At around 10:30 pm last night I noticed a pimple on my mustache area and for whatever reason I thought it was herpes and so I started stressing a little and 30 minutes later the tingling sensation on my left upper lip area started tingling and burning, now that made the anxiety even worse because a while ago I read that cold sores happen on corners of lips accompanied by burning, itching, and tingling first. For the next hour I felt the same thing so I decided to go to sleep. I woke up at around 3 am and noticed the feeling was gone but when I started thinking about it like 2 minutes later it came back and stayed because I can’t get it out my mind. I went to sleep again and woke up at 5:30 this time I avoided the thought of this for about 10 minutes until it eventually got the best of me so it started tingling and burning again, I cooled down the anxiety a little bit and the feeling started going away and stayed away until I thought of it again and became stressed again. Then I went to buy blistex this morning and when u applied it to my lips the area (my upper left lip) was burning and tingling, so we’re other areas but the one on my upper left lip felt strong. So then I went to sleep and woke up an hour ago and everything was fine for about 15 min until I thought of it again and then anxiety and then the sensation was back. Now it’s 12 hours since I felt this and nothing visible in the area.

It only seems if I think about it’s there and if I stress about it it gets what worse. But if I’m calm then it’s not there. I’m gonna way 12 more hours or a couple days to see if I see anything there but I’m scared and worried and I need some assurance.

Note that it hasn’t even been 48 hours since I’ve missed this girl, also a week ago from yesterday I had a small cold that went away in 5 days and I woke up with a headache 2 days ago that went on half a day but I think it was cuz I slept too long and during the headache I was playing video games all day long.

"It only seems if I think about it’s there and if I stress about it it gets what worse." - I think you answered your own question. It sounds like a lot of anxiety to me.

Herpes symptoms wouldn't appear for at least 2 days at the very earliest. The average is 4 days, but can be up to 20 days.

I have to say that anxiety over oral herpes is kind of pointless. Over half of the adult population has it, and if this isn't the first person you've kissed, you've likely been exposed before. Chances are good that your parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc., have it. If you freak every time you kiss someone, you're going to spend a lot of time freaking.

Don't kiss anyone with a visible sore, and maybe during cold and flu season, don't make out with random girls, especially if you haven't had a flu shot. The flu will make you a lot sicker than herpes will.
