Passing to my toddler?

So I cant shake off the thought i have passed it (genital hsv-2) on to my little boy who is 18 months old :(

one night in the summer it was very hot so i was sleeping naked and my son was sleeping in just his nappy. He awoke halfway through the night really upset and in my tired state i picked him up and popped him in the bed with me, forgetting about the lack of clothes. anyway in the morning he woke up first and proceeded to climb onto me and wake me up the usual way- by sitting on my tummy and bouncing up and down. But i think some of exposed skin (obviously his butt and genitals were covered by his nappy) had contact with my genitals.

Anyway a month or so later he developed a few individually spaced out whiteheads in the nappy area. They cleared up on their own after a week. However a few months later, they appeared again and new ones carried on appearing a week after the original ones. I have taken him to 3 different doctors who on visual diagnosis say it's a yeast infection but im still worried and scared.

How possible is it that I have passed it to him?

Its really highly unlikely he contracted herpes from this esp with no sore present and genital area covered. You might want to talk to the doctor if they suspected it just for you pc of mind.

I think he did have skin-to-skin contact with my private area though.. but obviously it was skin not covered by his nappy so his upper thighs/outlines of his buttocks were exposed, can you catch the virus via contact with that skin?

Also would the drs have known/suspected it if it was a herpes outbreak?

Hi, if his nappy area was covered then there would not be a risk. Also your tummy is too high up as the virus would be in the area below that.
