I was drunk and went to the bathroom and I think I recieved oral sex from a guy, fro what I can remember he did not have any lesions on his mouth and it was for a very short period of time, maybe plus minus 3 minutes. I also want to note that it was my first of any sexual contact and I am only 18, I think worry is killing me! I read all the time that herpes is very common and likely through oral sex, but is that true even if he didn't have any lesions at the time?! Also whi is it that all the answers here say that herpes is very unlikely? Wy though? Also I read that the ati bodies take 10 weeks to develop so therefore a herpes specific blood test wouldn't help me if it 1 week since possible infection?

folks who have hsv1 orally prior to contracting hsv2 genitally are the ones that tend not to notice symptoms. hsv1 genitally tends to present with very obvious and painful sores .

Because once I masturbated the skin in one are went a little red like a blister but disappeared in 10 minutes and never re appeared when I finally used lube which i had never done before

Thank you grave ye well I'm just gonna go and test at 5 weeks for peace of mind, I spoke to a councilor and they said a vain on your genitals would have to be bleeding if you were to get hiv from that sort of encounter and I didn't feel anything so ? hiv from this isn't a realistic worry! you don't need to get tested for it from this sort of encounter.

Thank for your reply, I think I'll get tested at 5 weeks for hiv, if its negative (hopefully ) ill let it go, I just think that I might be the first to ever contract it like that haha and I think maybe I had a small cut that I didn't notice and the person had blood etc but anyway thank you :)

Great now I read that mucous membranes on the penis can contract hiv, I know it's dumb but I have a sore throat runny nose, flu, could this be ars?
I still don't have any symptoms, is it possible that after 20 days it is there but is just asymptomatic and I read that hsv1 shows up quicker on the genitals because it does not. 'Preffer that area" so If I test after a month, its negative and still no symptoms, then what? Haha a quick encounter with someone who doesn't have any lesion must be a difficult way to get genital herpes
you really do not need to test from this for herpes. if you had contracted it, you would've had obvious and painful symptoms.

hsv1 genitally is the risk from receiving oral sex. it tends to present with very obvious genital lesions within 2-20 days after the encounter.
