Possible Herpes from oral and making out?

3 weeks ago I met a young women and we made out and I briefly preformed oral sex on her.  She had no visible signs and said she was clean.

2 days afterwards my lips began to tingle / occasionally burn.  I have used lip balm with only little help.  I have no other signs or symptoms - certainly no blisters - but my lips continue to burn / tingle a majority of the day.  It’s been 21 days total.  I’ve been tested before and it’s always come back negative but I will again in 3-5 more weeks.

My question is how common or better yet, how rare is an initial herpes outbreak with no blisters after 21 days and only burning / tingling lips?   Or could this be a fungus infection or something else entirely?  Anything else I can do in the mean time waiting to be tested?   Thanks all.

At 21 days with no blisters, and having symptoms only in the corners of your mouth, I'd go with angular cheilitis. It may resolve on it's own, but if it gets worse, see your doctor.

I wouldn't worry about herpes at this point.

It could also be an allergy to something. Have you started using anything new, like new toothpaste, mouthwash, lip balm, etc.? Started eating anything new, or more of something you've eaten before?

Now I have ONLY at the corners of both corners of my mouth 2 very small bump and redness and wonder if I could have a minor case angular cheilitis?  No bumps / blisters anywhere else just at my corners.   Thoughts?   Thanks
