Prodrome symptoms?

I contracted genital herpes several years ago with a severe outbreak and have had maybe one noticeable outbreak (i.e. sores) since. However, I often get throbbing pains in my lower back, testicles, buttocks and anus. I have a rash of back issues including a degenerative disc which I would attribute these symptoms to, since it does not include stinging or itching. However, it is often accompanied by a slight burning when I urinate and my anus is tender to touch, which makes me think it is the herpes. This can last several days or longer, but no sores ever develop. Does anyone have similar prodrome experiences?

I've had herpes for 30 years ... often I will get soreness starting in a calf, which works its way up the leg to the buttocks, genitals...sometimes sores will erupt near anus, sometimes on penis ... rarely on both at the same time ... almost always have pain during urination as well ...

Hi, prodrome are most often tingling or itching but a sore would develop in about a week after. Aborted outbreaks do occur but is not that common. And for this to be constant could be assumed not herpes related.
