Protected Sex2

If I'm on Valtrex and use condoms and re-entering the dating seen, is it a high risk that I will spread the virus? If a guy that I'm dating is sleeping with other women, would this put the women at risk?

As in you have had an IgG blood test positive for HSV2? 20 years ago cultures were almost completely not typed and blood testing rare.

The risk of spreading to a male in these circumstances is of the order of 2% in a year of sex, say 100 episodes.

Yes the risk will always be there that he could become infected and infect others.

Do you get many outbreaks? Are you sure you have genital HSV2 and not HSV1?
