Red rash on both sides of groin???

Ok so let me start from the beginning- 2 years ago I ripped my frenulum on penis right near the head. Ever since if I masturbate too much or have sex too much it get's sore- like raw feeling and sometime confuses me as to where the pain is coming because it feels so close to the tip. -
I had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago- Felt fine
Day 1- two week mark I felt a sting- not burn- but pinch at my penis tip- urinated frequently- no painful urination- no odd colors- no other symptoms except that slight pinch at the tip when i was NOT peeing. I rubbed my frenulum and it made the sting worse
Day 2- Pinch was all but gone but urination was still weak- no pain- no weird colors or discharge
Day 3- Saw my doctor- he said urine was free from infection- prescribed 500mg of Doxycycline for Prostititus and referral for urology and said I seemed fine and he didn't think it was anything bad- but no physical exam of area though at this time- there was nothing physically different down there.
Day4- after 3 antibiotic pills over 2 days i noticed my groin was itching more than usual, but I shave it often and the hairs are halfway grown back and to be honest worrying about the itchiness made me itchy all over my body. Penis feel fine- I pee normally, I masturbate without pain....though my frenelum is still a little sore when rubbed
Day 5- I broke out with a red rash only on my bikini area- high up on groin between leg and testicle sac- both sides- looks bright red- smooth - no bumps pimples- no blisters- it's a straight line, right into both sides of my bikini line- urination is fine- penis and genitals look as the always do- no strange colors, markings, bumps- it looks and feels like jock itch - i've had jock itch before as I am a large man who sweats- I've also heard Doxcycline can make fungal infections sprout up which makes sense because if I go two days without a shower- I get it.

I've heard herpes can look and feel so many different ways so of course i'm worried but- Nothing around my genitals or penis - I feel completely fine physically now other than this rash on both sides. The only reason I'm concerned at this point is because of the events leading up to it- otherwise it looks and feels like a bad case of jock itch which I've had many time before.

Also to add to this- for nine months my tailbone is in pain- if I sit too long in same spot it kills- I work a desk job am and overweight
I am also a daily marijuana smoker
I am also a frequent masturbator- even if my penis is sore (specifically my frenelum) I masturbate through the sting

Anyone have an advice? I'm starting to think I had a inflamed my frenelum for overuse, thought it was penis tip, am taking antibiotics without any need and it caused my jock itch to flare up....I seriously doubt all my ailments are from the same thing.

UPDATE***

went to the Urologist again, he thinks my anxiety and stress and guilt are causing me to worry for nothing and adding to physical. He prescribed me sulfameth trimethoprim for 2 weeks but seemed like it was up to me if I wanted it. My original urine test when symptoms first started were fine. He took another urine sample and blood, but said my genitals appeared fine and still insists that the flenelum from my unfinished circumcision was pulling on my urethra. He did notice some redness under the tip of penis. I will trust in him as he is a very well reviewed professional and I am prone to OVER worrying about anything...The worrying is not without warrant. I had unprotected sex and a week later, burning at the tip....then two weeks I'm fine, I have sex again and same thing...but he seems to think my own mind is more of the problem...Anyway, just wanted to give my update.

If your urologist is not worried, then I'd say don't worry. At 16 weeks past exposure, to put your mind at rest, you could go have a reliable blood test done - either the IgG (good) or the Western Blot (best). Until then, there's really no reason to stress until there's a reason to stress!

UPDATE***** 1/2/2014

I went to see the Urologist. He said nothing was wrong. In fact ...he told me my circumcision wasn't done all the way and said I can irritations from the extra skin, which he can cut to drop it down, but I have yet to decide on that as it just hurts after I use it frequently.

So after hearing the news I was stoked! I had sex (with the same partner I was seeing) felt great up until yesterday....1/1/2014 when I started feeling itchy around my testicles and shaft- they also felt....hot, but no redness, no bumps, pimples, or anything like that. I do not know if there is really anything causing this itchy tingle in my testes (which moved from penis shaft to anus, to basically all over my body....I feel itchy everywhere sometimes)

Could this anxiety? I am a classic pessimist and am always focusing and obsessing over bad things. SO i have been reading how anxiety can cause anything normal in the body super intensify...Also, I constantly check my parts in the mirror and see nothing different.

Also and another thing....I shave down there, and stupidly...because I all of a sudden thought it could be crabs....I took a buzzer to my pubes....idk...yesterday it felt like my shaft was itchy, today it feel like the bottom of my testes...

Am I going crazy?? My urologist didn't seem at all concerned about anything.

You were right the first time - herpes can look like a lot of things. There really are no longer any standard ways that the virus presents. Folks can contract it and never have symptoms. It can feel like jock itch, yeast, rash, be red, look like small bumps or paper cuts. It has a mind of its own.

Also, according to a recent (2008) study, shedding/contagiousness rates for HSV-2 are actually high - about 20% of days. This does not mean we're shedding constantly throughout the day each time, but it's still 73 days out of the year.

However, your symptoms are not necessarily herpes, in fact I suspect they're not. Lesions don't usually bleed, for one thing. I'd get other conditions ruled out before you decide to stress over having HSV.

I suppose you could get the papercuts swabbed if you're really worried, but don't wait too long - less than 48 hours - or you risk a false negative. In addition you could get a reliable blood test to see whether you have antibodies from a prior infection, in case this turns out to be a recurrence.

I hope this isn't too much information!

Thank you. Yes from what I see or have read Herpes seems more sporadic in the way it outbreaks as where this is two straight smooth lines on both side of the groin....really high up where the bikini line is and feels like jock itch which I had before. Of course....when you add everything together it can be scary..One side is a little worse even though both sides look the same as far as redness - one side burns a little more and after my shower yesterday I saw two small little cuts....but not sores or blisters....like two little lines that were bleeding a little and read that it could be fissures from the jock itch. I looked this morning and they were gone....no other bumps pr weird discoloring

Hi, your rash most likely is as you suspect from jock itch or other irritation. If she did not have an obvious genital sore at the time, really low risk in contracting herpes as shedding doesnot occur that often.
With herpes, a primary outbreak would appear at point of contact which most often would be your penis shaft or the surrounding groin area. If this was a recurrent outbreak it could be where your describing but would only be on one side and be more of a cluster type of formation.
Of couse only testing would confirm your status but from what your describing really dont appear herpes related.
