Results definite?

Hello, I've posted this previously but I wanted to get some more input and hopefully settle my mind once and for all.

So roughly 4.5 months ago I developed a splotchy red rash on my penis. I immediately though herpes. It hurt and was painful and it lasted FOREVER. The rash went away in around 2 weeks, but then I developed inflammation on my scrotum, my groin, and anus. The groin irritation was very stingy. I went to see an on campus physician who prescribed me a steroid cream. It did not help any of the irritation. I purchased some anti-fungal (I believe it was miconazole) and that also did not help. Symptoms seemed to simmer down when I applied the cream, but nothing ever caused it to go away completely. My foreskin then developed cracks on it that were very sore and took a very long time to heal. The cracks did not scab over or ooze any kind of fluid, so I know they were not tiny blisters or open lesions.

Eventually, symptoms subsided, I think about 2.5 months after first appearing. I thought I was in the clear.

I took an IgG blood test at 12 weeks and this came back NEGATIVE for HSV I and HSV II.

Maybe 2.5 weeks ago I went out for a night and had a bit too much to drink. I kept thinking that if this was herpes it would return as I had read stories online that alcohol is a trigger and it can cause recurrences. Well, much to my misery, it came back. Much milder than last time. The rash on the head of my penis was very minimal, only about 3 dots. These went away overnight, but now there is a large red patch on the base of the head.

I retested, again with IgG at 16 weeks and this also came back NEGATIVE for HSV I and HSV II.

I should add, I NEVER had blisters of any kind anywhere.

So, my question is, are my 2 negative results definitive and should I begin to think this is something else? Maybe a very strong case of balanitis? Maybe a chronic yeast infection caused by a yeast intolerance?

Any and all help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Its almost certainly a false positve. and any number 3.5 of below would need retesting

My IgG test was under 3.5 and I recently retested and turns out it was a false positive. My western blot came back negative.

So after getting tested eventually a little after 6 months, maybe closer to 7 months, I tested positive for HSV-1. Looks like I didn't develop the antibodies for a while.
