Considering that no one can tell you how long you've had the virus and you are not tested for it unless you specifically ask for it. Do you think I should go back and have all of my partners from the past years tested? I want to but then again I don't because I really don't want people I know to know my business then they would all look at me crazy. But then I want everyone I once carried about to be tested just in case. If you think I should advise them to be tested what's a good way to break it to them? I mean I'm 28 and have been sexually active since 15. So how do I know I haven't been walking around with this virus for 13 years. Like I said before i have no outbreaks.
you have a right to see your own medical info.
call your doc's office and demand to see a copy of your own results. invoke HIPAA (the statute that prevents the release of your med info to anyone other than those you permit), and agree to sign a release for the info, but threaten to report the office to the fed and state authorities for failing to comply with HIPAA.
just a thought, but i wouldn't keep seeing any doc who isn't willing to provide me with my own test results...
that answers my question in th epother post.
Go and repeat your herpes igg blood test elsewhere. If you live in the US you can do it yourself thru www.tstd.org and www.healthcheckusa.com - both run around $100 for a type specific herpes igg blood test.

I think I need a second opinion. I did what you suggested and called and that damn doctor told me she couldn't give me any info over the phone but the numbers don't matter anyway just know that it was positive. That **** then pissed me off.
You can probably call back to the Doctor to get the numbers if you took an IGG HSV2 specific blood test. I've been told that someone with no symptoms and numbers under 3.5 should have a confirmation test.
