Retest Results
I haven't checked in for quite some time. My original Herpeselect test showed 2.75 in October 2010. I was recently retested and it is 1.39. I wish I had the WB done instead. But took a year to convince my doctor to do this one.
when the office called to tell me the results they said this means you have been exposed at some point in the past and developed antibodies. You could possibly have an outbreak in the future.
Next week I am going to print out info and take to them. The doctor has admitted I know more about hsv than she does.

WB is the best way to rule out false positives. ask your provider to read the 2010 CDC herpes guidelines to update their herpes testing info, educate them about the false positives and how to confirm them and to best serve their patients :)
