Round yellowish sore w/red ring

SP7
Hi. I picked up HSV-2 (not 1) this summer on my neck, diagnosed via culture swab. Got it from rough making-out w/another guy w/course facial hair. Plus I had irritated my neck that morning from shaving. Primary outbreak one week later: multiple red patches w/blisters on neck midway between jawline and collarbone. Previously had been negative for HSV-1 & 2 via IgG testing. Hasn't yet come back.

No genital symptoms at time, even though brief oral (30 seconds?) performed on me. Also had undiagnosed scabies for 8 weeks soon thereafter w/intense itching & red rash/pimple-like bumps/sores on chest, underarms, elbows, penis, abdomen, shins, etc. Dermatologist examined me & diagnosed as scabies 3 weeks ago. Just completed 3 rounds of permethrin 5% lotion & Ivermectin treatment. (Got reinfected by myself after 1st round.)

Day after final treatment, noticed a single, somewhat itchy, round & flat yellowish sore w/red ring about the size of a pencil eraser at top of my pubic hair near my abdomen. Hadn't seen anything there the night before when I applied permethrin. Also have 3 similar things on my chest & underarm. Does this one sore in boxer shorts area sound at all like herpes? Or is it more likely scabies (or reaction to 3 rounds of permethrin)? Seeing derm next week & took a pic of it. Thanks.

Thanks. To clarify: The 30 seconds of brief oral I received was during the same encounter this summer where I got HSV-2 on my neck. But never had any genital symptoms @ that time, so don't think I got it there.

The single current sore in my groin/abdomen area is probably due to scabies or the treatment...since it looks like the sores I have on my chest as well. But anything in the boxer shorts region still makes me suspicious of herpes instead.

Hi, if your positive for hsv2 in the oral area, chances you contracted it in the genital area from the brief oral would be close to zero. For one thing you already have antibodies and most dr say we dont bing pong the herpes.
