Should I get a Western Blot?
Test done on November 22, 2016.
IgG HSV1 is <0.91
IgG HSV2 is 1.80
Should I get a western blot to confirm my results? How do I do this if I’m from Pennsylvania? I’ve always had protected intercourse. However, I did have 2 sexual encounters where unprotected oral was performed, most recent possible exposure would have been around November 2015. Never had lesions on my mouth or genitals that I know of.

You can really rule out hsv2 from receptive oral sex. It's very rarely an oral infection and even more rare to spread it from an oral infection. Even giving oral is almost zero risk for contracting hsv2.
I would retest with an igg test in a few weeks. If that is also a low positive then contact the university of Washington. They will mail you the kit. Have your Dr or a lab draw the blood and ship it back to them.

I really really hope that is true feelingundone. Thanks for replying. The IgG was an ELISA test at LabCorp. Do you think I should try IgG again at Quest Diagnostics or should I opt for an immunoblot test instead?

You can test with any igg lab is not an issue. The immunoblot would be fine as well. Hsv2 tests are very sensitive and can pick up on hsv1 antibodies or other odd protiens of similar weight.

Random question that you may know the answer to - do you think if I got a hepatitis B shot on November 10th, this could affect the results at all?
