Small red spots and tingling sensations

About 1 month ago I had unprotected sex with a new partner. Three or four days later, I noticed a couple of red lesions that had some irritation around them at the base of my penis/pubic area. They had some fluid in them and resembled pimples more than herpes from the pictures I've seen online, but they didn't look exactly like either. There was no irritation, pain, or itching. I only noticed them because I was closely inspecting myself

After a few days I noticed the lesions no longer had fluid and had begun to heal, there was dead skin around them which washed away in the shower. I went to the doctor and had them inspected. He said while he couldn't be sure, the appearance, lack of pain, and the quick onset suggested it probably wasn't herpes but rather just irritated skin and hair follicles (we had intercourse a few times and I was sore afterwards). He swabbed the areas for a culture test which returned a negative result

Since then I've noticed tingling sensations in my pubic area and penis, as well as burning/slightly painful sensations in only my pubic area. About 4-5 days ago I noticed a few bumps on the underside of the head of my penis with a white-ish center to them, and then a few days ago I noticed small (1-2mm maybe?) red spots around the circumfrence of my penis glans after masturbating. They are pink normally but seem to get irritated with friction

The bumps are much smaller and do not resemble the lesions I originally noticed a month ago, but they appear in a cluster. They don't have any sort of itching or irritation (same with the spots), but I'm still experiencing random tingling and other sensations throughout my genital/pubic area, and an occasional short lasting pain on the left side of the glans of my penis where there are no visible lesions.

These bumps and spots do not look like the typical blisters I see in pictures online, but I know herpes lesions aren't always typical. I know the tingling/burning and random sensations are also symptoms of herpes, but I tend to have a lot of anxiety so I'm unsure if those sensations are just in my head. I only seem to get them when I'm sitting/laying around and not doing anything

I know an HSV blood test isn't totally accurate until about 12 weeks after initial infection, but all of this is causing me a ton of stress and I would like to know if these symptoms sound like herpes or some other sort of infection/problem.

Hi, Swab testing are most accurate for showing a positive. Having a blood test at 4 weeks might be some value as a low positive would be a sign of a recent infection.

I just realized I mispoke in my post. The red bumps are mostly around the circumfrence of my corona, not glans. Although there are a few on my glans

I have uploaded a couple of pictures. You can notice one of the bumps with a white head in the second picture below the tip and slightly to the left of the center.

The purple bugish thing on my circumcision scar is a camera artifact
