Sore on bum

On jan 2 2008 i had unprotected sex for about 60 seconds then stopped and put condom on. I also had oral done to me 3 times in the week previous to this. On the 23rd jan i noticed a sore about 4mm in diameter just below my anus. I know to late but i went to my local gum clinic on the 28th jan to get checked. One doctor and a nurse looked but both said they could see nothing which made me feel a lot better. But every time i look in the mirror i can still see it. the sore is about 4mm in diameter and looks the same as the first day that i noticed it.I am sure it is herpes. I did have the flu on the 7th jan quite bad with very bad cough and have been suffering the last 2 weeks with sweating of the genitals. Would the sore come 3 weeks after the flu? I am going back to the gum clinic in the morning but not want to waste there time. Any comments would be appreciated thanks.

Im still having problems not sure on what to do. i did see a someone about the ocd auntiejessie but is hard when having problems and am worried. Does this sound like herpes

1. slight discomort urinating

2. burning feeling in buttocks comes and goes. one day will have then will go away for a couple of days then start again.

3. sweating around the groin and bum every day for 6.5 weeks.

4. irritable anus

I tested neg for standard sti test uk 2 weeks ago. no herpes test as not do in gum clinic. could someone please answer as am very worried. Will go clinic monday but not like waste there time. thanks

thanks for your reply auntiejessie, I went to the gum clinic monday morning and the doctor seemed to think it was just where i had probably wiped to hard and it got infected. she said it was nothing of a sexual nature. Sorry to ask more questions as i know im paranoid. would of asked at clinic but completely forgot when told me the sore was probably an infection.

on my bum cheeks at the base of them where the skin folds there always irritable and go red as the day goes on been like it for over a month.

when i go to urinate there is slight discomfort after. it was worse two weeks ago. (did mention this when i went time before but did not say anything)

I have had blood test again but not for herpes as they do not do  as they say a waste of time.

No herpes sore would last a month, much less take that long to form a blister.

It sounds like maybe you had a small cyst under the skin, and with all the contortions and things you did, it burst.

Are you seeing anyone to help with the OCD?  If you aren't, that might help you.

1.Would a sore if herpes take a month to get to a size and burst if herpes?
2.Is sweating of the groin associated with herpes
3.The gum clinic in england do not use a herpes test as they say waste of time. only visual and swab. Does anyone know where to go in england   and what test to take for most accurate results.
i know to late for a swab of sore now as sore burst and am sure it is herpes.

Sorry back again. After what the doctor had said i tried to stop looking at it. But last night i looked the sore was now larger probably about 7mm round and more stuck out from the skin. I would of gone to the gum clinic today but not open weekends. When i was wiping today after going to the toilet the sore burst and there was blood but no puss. Does this now sound like herpes. Would there only be the one sore on the bum or more. Why would the sore be on the bum if it was vaginal sex, i will go gum clinic monday but am quite worried again. thanks for any comments

Thanks for you r help and advice. I have been to my local gum clinic to be checked. The doctor said it was just a fiberous piece of skin and not to worry. She also said if this was herpes she would finish as a medical practitioner. I no not in clear until 3 months test but feel happier in myself now.  thanks for replys

Go when you can . This doesn't sound like herpes anyways so no rush.

Stretching the skin makes you better able to see it?  I doubt very much that you are looking at herpes.  

Even if it means assuming a twisted yoga pose to do so - make sure you point out to the person who sees you tomorrow exactly what you are concerned about and if they say it's not herpes - then say well then what is it exactly so you can get answers and relief about all this.

Do you have a medical degree? I might be more inclined to have confidence in your "diagnosis" if you had an M.D. behind your name. Let the experts figure it out.

Thanks for your response but to me its there plain as day and all i do is worry about it. not even sure if i can go in morning as am so sure that it will be herpes. From the moment i noticed the sore it was white in colour and never looked like a spot. it is more visible when the skin is pulled tight. Is herpes the only thing that creates a sore like this. thanks again

If 2 medical professionals looked at your genital area and didn't see anything - chances are good then that what you are thinking is something new - probably isn't.  

It's THAT time of the year - don't assume everything you get the sniffles and a cough that it means you contracted herpes.
