Spreading Herpes/Cold Sore

Hello all,

Quick question. Can you spread a cold sore (there was no actual sore present, girl just claimed she thought she was getting one) by kissing areas near the groin (but not the actual groin itself)?

For example, the inner thigh or stomach.

Mostly curious about how it can and can't transfer. There's a lot of material out there but not many specifics in my questions context.

Thanks!

Those areas are much harder for the buyers to enter because they have thicker skin Genital are more Vulnerable.  There is no data I know of for transmission rates of HSV one However viral shedding from oral hsv1 is  estimated from 18 to 30%

Sorry estimated at 9 to 18%
Does the viral shedding more to do with spreading while not having physical symptoms?

Any idea if that 9-18% is for full blown unprotected oral? If so, I would assume my situation would probably be less?

Thanks!
