I am a 23 yr old male, circumsizedSo awhile back I was dating this girl and I thought I knew her pretty well. Stupidly, we had sex unprotected. I asked her before we had sex if she had any std's, she said no, so I proceeded to initiate the sex. we had sex for approximately 10-15 minutes, oral and vaginal. The next day I woke up with a strange feeling in my urethra, a burning, tingling sensation and it felt as if the urethra was inflammed. I began getting major anxiety from this, I didnt have swollen lymph nodes anywhere on my body, but this feeling persisted. One night I felt pretty bad and developed chills, but it didnt last long. About a month or 2 afterwards I developed a rash around my anus and when I wiped it started to bleed, the rash stayed for a few days, then went away. It has since come back a few times, but seems to go away after I take a shower (weird), I'm wondering if this sounds like herpes? I was tested for chlamydia and gonn. Both came back negative. Can someone please shed some light into the darkness that has since become my life? Please and thank you.
I dont ever recall having blisters of any sort though, isnt it typical of an initial outbreak to cause blisters on penis if urethra is infected. There was never great pain, just more of an uncomfortable feeling, irritated skin. I plan on having an igg test within the next few week, id be devastated if I had herpes though.
herpes won't go away after shower. none of symptoms sounds a lot like herpes.

yes herpes can reoccur in the anal area without having anal sex. you need to go and get a type specific igg test done, to know for sure what is going on.
I was waiting to see if the rash came back so I can get it swabbed because I dont trust herpes testing aside from getting a sample from an active lesion. I've been refraining from sex, just in case.
Is this typical of herpes? Anal rash w/o ever having anal sex? Could that be the only site of virus?
My mind is just going crazy and I'm in a dark place especially since I knew and trusted this girl...she just became a cop too :O
