Stinging red mark

Hi,

I have a stinging red mark on the crease that joins my thigh and my groin.  Is this a place where herpes could show up?  It does sting a bit and a few days before, I had some muscle twitching in that leg.  I am about a week and a half before I reach the 16 week mark before I can get a test.  What should I do?  Could this be herpes or could it be a inflected follicle?

It is somewhat less likely than on the penis shaft or surrounding groin area. Hence given the location you'd have to be thinking other causes are a much higher chance.

Could it be a reoccurance of herpes?  Or would a reoccurance not usually appear in a crease?

This would be quite an unusual appearance of first up herpes. Irritation in creases is very common and usually passes without much notice unless you're focused on your genitals.

This is likely just due to pants cutting into the area, running, walking etc.
