Think I have herpes from my husband cheating

Well this is a mess.
I found out my husband was having an affair. We have 3 small kids together. He performed oral sex on me last Saturday before I knew that he was cheating. Monday my entire vagina area was burning to my bum. I've gone to the doctor and she tested me for sti's. However she's worried because of the burning it could be herpes. Burning stopped on Saturday but now I can see a lump beside my clitoris that has a 'cut' on it. Could this be an OB? I'm worried sick and can't get in to see her until Tuesday. Could HSV be transmitted thru saliva? I don't have any itching just irritation especially where the 'bump' which has the cut is and redness on my vagina.
Thanks! I'm so worried.

Sorry for my delayed response.

Most people who have oral hsv1 don't know it. This is due to getting it while being very young. They get a few cold sores then it goes dormant and they don't get them anymore. Very common.
Yes hsv2 can be an oral infection but it's pretty rare. Hsv2 just doesn't take well to the oral  cavity. Hsv2 oral sheds very little and has few outbreaks. The odds of contracting hsv2 from receptive oral sex is to low to be a realistic posibility. I feel for you in your current situation. I wish you the best.

It could be hsv1 from receptive oral sex. It also could be other things that aren't associated with the sexual activity. If it is hsv1 then i would suspect your husband has had this for a long time and not a recent infection. If he had no hsv before and recently acquired oral hsv1 then he would most assuredly had an ugly outbreak on his lip or nose area. Has he ever had a cold sore?

Hsv is not concentrated in fluids that includes saliva. However hsv1 is becoming the most popular genital infection and it's contracted from receptive oral sex. I would visit another clinic tomorrow to get the cut swabbed and type specific tested
Thank you for your reply! He said he hasn't had any sores in his mouth or on his lip. I'm not sure if I believe him. He's lied about cheating etc
If he got a cold sore would it definitely show up? He's been seeing this woman since September (which I just found out). HSV isn't usually in saliva? Can there be HSV 2 in the mouth? I'm absolutely devastated
The thing that worries me is we hadn't been intimate until a week ago and 2 days after I had the most extreme burning and now a bump &swollen. It's been 9days since he gave me oral.
