Thoughts on Symptoms

Eight days ago, I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend for the first time. She has no known issues and no symptoms to this point. Two days after the sex, I developed dry skin and slight swelling at the opening of my penis. I also have urethritis.  It also seems like the opening can stick together at times.  My penis remains in this condition.  Headaches come and go.  No burning or discharge.  No swollen lymph nodes.  Minimal discomfort at the opening.  Any thoughts on issue or STI possibility?  Thanks for the thoughts.

Thank you for your comment.  You make a good point that this does not fit any standard STD pattern.  My concern is an unconventional HSV presentation.  The full STD kit is necessary to move forward.  I wish we could solve this mystery sooner.  The part that confuses me is a lack of pain or soreness at the tip where the majority of action seems focused.  If one demonstrates very timely dry skin (ambiguous ulcers I suppose), wouldn't it still be tender, pretty sensitive or sting with urine??  Again, thanks for your time.

Most STDs do not reveal symptoms like you describe. If you are having unprotected sex a great thing to do is mutually test for all STDs including HSV and compare notes before proceeding any further.
