Tingling for a month

I have been having constant vaginal tingling for a little over a month now. The tingling is in the entire vaginal area and sometimes will extend all the way to my feet, but that is rare.  I do not have any sores. I did have a new partner prior to this occurrence. I went to the doctor and got diagnosed with BV. They tested me for chlamydia, gonorhea, HIV and all were negative. I asked about a herpes test and the doctor said my symptoms didn’t warrant one but I have been seeing tingling listed on so many herpes sites so it makes me nervous. Has anyone ever had tingling for an extended time with no sores and herpes was the cause? Is this really a common herpes symptom?

That's the problem with reading symptoms lists without understanding the virus. Tingling or crawling sensations are a prodrome symptom. This means outbreaks past tbe first one. Thos can happen a day or so before outbreak and is very localized. Nothing like you describe. I agree with your Dr
