Valacyclovir stopped working. Is it possibile?

I was diagnosed with genital herpes about 5 years ago. Then I started taking 500mg Valacyclovir (M191) daily and that helped me a lot. I would maybe get 1 out break a year and the sore would be very small & heal fast.
I am also taking Lysine pills everyday. 1000mg to 2000mg a day.

Last week, I had some redness on my penis and didn't really think anything of it. 2-3 days later 2 small scabs showed up on the same spot on my penis and they fell off within the next 4 days. Right now there is no sore or scabbing on my penis but my right leg, inner thigh is hurting and I don't know what to expect of this. Did the Valacyclovir I am taking stop working? and if it did, what should I do?
Am I getting another sore? or is it just a normal leg pain? I am very confused and extremely worried. Please help!

What you describe isn't abnormal. Wait a day or so and see how you feel

Doesn't the inner thigh pain come before the physical symptoms? In this case, I already had physical symptoms (redness, then scabbing) and they are both gone but the thigh pain started.
Does that mean I should expect another break out?
