can you get hsv2 from receiving oral sex?

I am a male and I have been reciently diagnosed with HSV-2.. Is it possible to recieve it from getting oral sex from someone that has hsv-2 in their mouth??

It's certainly not impossible. we actually have a poster here on the board right now who contracted hsv2 genitally from receiving oral sex most likely.

the risk of it occurring is very , very low but not impossible.

you can get it that way but the odds of it happening are very low.  

have you only ever had oral sex?
