confusing symptoms/diagnosis

Hello Doctor,
Thanks for your help.
Ive had four partners, no penetration with any, last oral sex was over six years ago. Had few oral encounters (probably less than seven) and the last relationships I had were all kept to masturbation, though we did have very brief skin to skin contact.
Have been diagnosed with yeast infections, and hormonal/diabetic issues. Also, five years ago bloodwork showed positive with hsv 1. Had canker sores.
About a montha and a half ago, was suffering from what I thought was another yeast infection and ran intensely with a tampon in. The tampon came partially out and irritated the skin while running. Later I looked at the area and saw white bumps where the tampon had been rubbing. I was concerned and called the two guys I had been with. We were all tested for hsv 2 and came out neg, doc didnt test for hsv 1. Doc did a visual and smelling exam of me and said herpes 1 or chancroid and sent me on my way with anitibiotic and herpes med.
The next week I saw a gyno, he said he thot it unlikely hsv 1, but there was nothing left to test.
He took me off meds. The next week I noticed small sores on arms, hands and face. Also, was sick with cold/sore throat and had blisters in throat.
Saw a dermatologist and she thought the sores were eczema.
A month and a half later, still itching, no pain, tested positive for yeast infection.
Here are questions
How likely is it that hsv 1 could show up this many years after oral sex
Doc said it could be latent and just show up from stress and the running?
How likely is it that hsv 1 could be transmitted via my hands while masturbating since I have eczema
How likely is it that I could have hsv 1 from these guys now transmitted from our contact
How likely is it that the blood tests could be wrong and I now have hsv 2
Have you seen sores that occur from yeast infections and abrasions that look like herpes
Would you reccomend I find a gynecologist or proceed with follow up at dermatologist
Thank you!

HSV 1 could show up years after infection, yes.  Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip?  That is caused by HSV 1, most often, and if you have had that, there is the source, most likely, of your HSV 1 antibody.  Canker sores are not herpes.  I would not be concerned about HSV 1 via masturbation, even with eczema.  I also would not worry about the blood test missing the HSV 2.  The test is very sensitive for HSV 2.  And yes, I have seen sores that happen from yeast infections, they are called satellite lesions, and are actually quite common, especially with severe yeast infections.  I would follow up with a gyn person first, then, if no satisfaction, derm.

No, I'm not concerned that you got herpes from your friend, and not at all clear about what he means by an outbreak on the body - you mean genitals?
If you have had a cold sore, then that's where your HSV 1 antibody is coming from.  It would be highly unlikely to get HSV 1 in a new location after having well established infection at the mouth location.  The red bumps from waxing the lip are entirely different, I know exactly what you mean and that is likely folliculitis of a mild version.

Thank you this was helpful, will find a gynecologist in my new hometown (the one who saw me was only doing it as a favor to his daughter, my friend, isnt taking new patients.)
I think I have had a cold sore when in high school? and the week this happened I felt like my lip was itching and tingling. Often I feel the itchy tingly lips with what I would call a hive, and when I get my lip waxed I have little bumps that itch and tingle around the lip for a week. Is it possible to get mild coldsores? I am used to the ones I have seen on friends or on TV and mine dont look like that but the tingling, itching and little bump (not very red, if at all) will show up frequently.
Also, the week this happened, I had what the std doc thought could be a whitlow-he didnt biopsy-wasnt sure. Looking back on that week, and now knowing I have eczema, I flossed my teeth a lot and also had the itchy bump and wonder if I transmitted it to my finger? then to genitals via hands? Also, I later learned that a guy I work with daily was in the middle of a severe HSV outbreak-on body and in eye- and we are in very close quarters and very friendly/huggy. I cook for him and he is in the office kitchen with me eating etc daily. Could I have caught it from him, esp if I have eczema (the eczema is not severe at all)
Am pretty alone in a new town, trying to get into doctors and this is a little of a wild goose chase. So, your advice is certainly appreciated and very helpful. Thank you so much!
