genital herpes?

I am a 19 year old female. Recently developed a type of rash on my groin. I was wearing a pair of underwear with lace trim and the lace was staring to irritate my skin. I soon checked and exactly under the lace the area was red and if examined closely I noticed little red bumps. I took them off and put on some sweat pants. By the end of the next day the area no longer irritated me and by the third or fourth day of it, it seemed like there was nothing there. There was no scabbing, blisters, or anything like that . Just extremely tiny bumps and a couple days later the area turned into dry flaky skin that I brushed off and it was fine . Is this something I should be worried about? The irritation wasn't near my vagina, it was more up towards my hip bone but still on the lower side. Any suggestions of what this might be? Should I be concerned or could it just be dry skin/irritation/ or a heat thing?

Well the things I was reading online didn't help either. I am unsure how to tell if something is a problem down there or just a rash or anything eles

I don't have a reason. Honestly I have an OCD thing with STDs and I have slept with a couple of people and I am now starting to realize how stupid my actions are. I havent had a new partner in 6 months though. I've been tested for pretty much everything you can think of but herpes and this rash made me concern. I did read that herpes rarely ever occurs on the groin but I didn't know if it peeled as if dry skin or sun burn .

No suggestion of herpes in what you describe.

Is there any reason to believe you may have been exposed genitally to herpes?
