Herpes Transmission Chance? One time Broken condom exposure.

Hi there,

I am an uncircumcised male. I had a condom break incident while having vaginal intercourse with a sex worker in India. The condom broke during the initial stage(just 40-50 seconds into the act) of the intercourse and I was inside her for not more than 30 seconds with the broken condom.

I have made a note of all the symptoms that I got.

On the 10th day post exposure I had some small itchy boil like formation on my penis shaft and it went away in 2 days after I applied some anti-fungal & anti-bacterial powder.

On the 17th day post exposure 3 small blisters appeared on my lower lips and they went away in 4 days time.

On the 24th day post exposure I had a flat non-itchy red colored rash on my arm and it went away in 2 days.

On the 29th day again 2 small blisters appeared on my upper lips and they went away in 4 days time.

Could someone please answer my below questions ->

1. Are these symptoms related to Herpes?

2. What are my chances of contracting Herpes from this one time exposure?

Thanks!

Even with a active herpes sore, its not common to contract  the first time. Also her having thick pubic hair is to your advantage as could be a barrier also preventing infection

Thanks Life, for the reply.

As the lights were switched off I am not sure if she had some blister kind of thing.

I have rubbed my bare penis near her vagina twice, that's what bothering me more. She also had thick pubic hairs, so I am guessing she must have some infections hidden behind those hairs. I know playing the guessing game is not good and it's better to get tested. I am planning to take a full STD panel test next week, that will be 16 weeks post exposure.

Could you please answer this question of mine-

Is Herpes transmitted every time someone comes in contact with a blister? Or there are some odds?

Thanks once again.

Hi, any symptoms on your arm, lower lip would not be herpes related for the affair as your genital area would be the risk area for herpes. A small ithcy boil on the shaft if not a typical herpes sores, they appear as a clear blister or razor type cut, open and spread the virus to the immediate surrounding area in a cluster type grouping and first time outbreak would be painful.
You can have a blood test at the 3 months mark or 8 weeks as a good indicator but if she did not have any genital sores at the time your risk would be somewhat low but shedding does occur about 15% of the time where the virus is on the surface with no sores appearing.
Most that do have symptoms do so in the first week on average.
