hat it is

I had a postive blood test for hsv igg test then a neg pap am I a carrier and can effect or am I clear my doctor said I am clear but my husband just had a break out and we're not sure what it is

2 10 is well within the possible false positive range. Anything under a 3.5 need confirmation tesring. I would have another igg type specific blood test. If that comes back negative your fine. If it comes back low positive again 3.5 and lower. Then get the western blot test.

It hsv igg ab 2.10 blood test my pap was hsv 1 and 2 and no never had a break out

Please post the positive numeric value of the test. That will help us figure out if you need more testing. Was it hsv1 or hsv2? Have you ever had a outbreak?

OK now to the question. If for you have hsv you can always spread it. Your Dr saying you are a carrier but can't  pass it on is 100% incorrect. That is not how it works. A clean pap has no bearing on your hsv status. The virus sheds fromantic time to time then goes back to the spine. The igg test you took looks for antibodies you build when you contract the virus. The virus is not in the blood. I hope some of this information  is helpful.  Please let me know about your posit I've test results
