headache from valtrex

hey all
does anyone else get headaches when taking valtrex? seems like everytime i take it i get a headache?

thanks again. I havent been taking as supressive therapy but think i need to while im treating anxiety! I have the 800 mg pills can i cut them in half?

you need to take 400mg 2x/day every single day for suppressive therapy with acyclovir.  wasn't sure if that's how you were taking it or not.

thank u so much! sorry for sending u a pm i didnt know. thank u again for your help! i am taking acyclovir now because of insurance. i take 800mg a day think that a good dose?

I don't even read pm's unless they appear to be asking a question about deleting a post or how to use the forum. this is posted in the read before posting post on this forum.

if you are having monthly recurrences you should be on daily suppressive therapy. it works much better than treating ob's as they occur. if your insurance doesn't make valtrex affordable, switch to acyclovir.  typically  headaches get better after you've been on suppressive therapy for a week or two.

are you taking valtrex just with ob's or daily?
