I had  sever out break after having sex for the first time in two years.      Could it be posible to have herpe before that?

so you had genital lesions and you had a lesion culture of them that came back as hsv1+?

He is in the process of being tested.   My doctor said I just got infected.   No more than 3 to 4 weeks.   He was surprised.  I think
He thinks its not him.   He never had anything before  he said no symptons

I tested for hsv1,but in the gential area.   What does that mean

what testing was done? do you have hsv1 or hsv2? did you have multiple lesions?

was your partner tested for herpes to know their status?

That sounds like an initial outbreak of herpes.

It was about 4 days after sex I had fever and flu like symptoms

Typically 2-10 days after exposure to the virus. However it does vary to person to person, someone may carry the virus and be completely a symptomatic and would never no they have herpes, but they can still spread it.

Yes it is possible, because the virus can lie dormant for awhile and then stress or a weakened immune system can induce an outbreak.
