herpes ?

Hi, on Sat while I was taking a shower, I felt a small bump up under and behind my testical. It looked like a whitehead pimple. I popped it and couldnt see if anything came out, I fussed with it several times trying to pop it and it started to bleed a bit and was sore from squeezing it. the next day my wife pulled 2 fine hairs out of the middle and it had a tiny crater. I went to the Dr's on monday and he looked at it and said it wasn't herpes or a wart and said it looked like a ingrown hair. he gave me mupirocin cream to put on it and it's gotten alot better. DR said there was nothing to worry about and this is common. I have OCD and I worry constantly. I'm in a monagamus relationship except 2 years ago I had a brief affair w a woman who I have no reason to think lied to me. she told me several times she was clean and not to worry. we had sex for like 20 sec and she finished by giving me oral. that was the only sexual contact. she assured me she was clean.
this litle bump doesn't look like herpes or a wart! I've never had anything like this before. and the Dr I saw said it's nothing and will go away. he said I don't need to go see a dermatologist.  thanks for any help!

Hi yes i would agree it was a pimple as most outbreaks occur on the shaft not the area your describing and they dont pop and are painful to the touch. and are not white head but clear liquid
