You say nothing about your sexual exposures and risk for new infection, or about the details of your symptoms. New genital herpes is rare at your age, and herpes often first causes the first obvious outbreak several years after the initial infection. The volunteers on this forum can help much more if you fill in the details like exposure history, symptoms, how it was diagnosed (blood test, swab test of the outbreak, or only by a doctor's exam), and the virus type (HSV1 or HSV2).
