Your gyno can't just call something in to treat it?  You have to now go to your primary?

What a pain.

Good luck!!

Try drinking each day some Cranberry Juice, or take Cranberry Gel Tabs. This will have a drastic change on your yeast infection.  You probably won't get it anymore,.  This isn't for Herpes but it will work for yeast infection.....Good luck

I'm guessing she saw something that was very suspicious for herpes.  If your lesion culture is negative then I'd follow up with you and your bf both getting type specific herpes igg blood tests to see who has what to see if there's need to be worried that indeed this was herpes and the culture was falsely negative .

yes she took a swab for a yeast and bacterial infection, but she also gave me a prescription for a gel and valtrex.  like i mentioned i'm very active biking, running and prone to yeast infections...and me and my boyfriend uses condoms.  i asked could the redness be from scratching?

thanks

What testing did she do?

did they also test you for yeast and bacterial infections too or did they just say herpes and stop there?

did they prescribe medication?
