herpes (oral)

Hello,

My gf has had oral herpes since more than 5 years. She gets the symptom on her lip sometimes, but not frequently (We have been dating for about 4 months, and it's the first time i see the symptom of herpes on her lip). The symptom showed on her in the past 4 days, but today i can see it no more, it seems to have disapeared (she has been using some cream medicin to cure it).

Now that the symptom on the lip seems to have disappeared,

Is it safe to kiss her now ?

How much should i wait ?

If she gives me a blo w job, would she transmit it to me ?

Thanking you in advance

Using a condom during oral sex.  They have some flavored ones out there that are good for oral sex.

have you ever been tested to know your own status?  you and your partner can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take until you know who has what.

http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm  has terrific info on oral herpes for both you and your gf :)

I'd wait a few more days until kissing her as well as you need to wait a few more days until she performs oral sex on you. Have you discussed whether to have protected oral sex together or not?
