herpes outbreak with eye infection

Hello, I've had a couple herpes outbreaks on my penis and within the same period I get a mild eye infection in one eye. Is his a coincidence or related> I've been checked by a ophthamologist and he thinks its a conjucvitis, he prescribed Polysporin anti bacterial eye drops, After 2 weeks everything cleared up. 6 weeks later the same eye became red and irritated with a new herpes outbreak. My eye was red, itchy. Again I applied polysporin drops, cleared up after 7 days. Again is there any connection to herpes. I'm healthy male with no eye issues ever. I've had my eye swabbed for STD, came back negative,

Confused

It's still all related to  your original situation though which is why it's helpful to keep them all in one post.  I still had to go back to your original post and read it which takes up more of my time. thank you for your future cooperation with this.

these are the same symptoms as you had when you were seen. if you want  a 2nd opinion on them, get one.  it's easy to look for herpes in the eyes. you just put some dye off of a strip in the eye and look at the eye with a slit lamp. Any eye doctor can do it easy for you.

Hello Grace,  This is a new question about a eye infection, since I read that people can
get a mild eye infection, IE: red eye/s or irritation that reoccurs with Herpes ob, I want to know if this  is true or not connected to the Herpes virus. I dont have eye herpe infection, but my I get a mild eye infection, around the time I am getting a ob, Any thoughts?

It's really helpful when you just keep adding to your original post. it saves me a lot of time.

you were seen by a professional who didn't think that was going on was due to herpes. if you doubt this, get a 2nd opinion.  as I said previously, odds are this isn't herpes in your eyes.
