hsv 1 results positive

I had fever blisters when I was in my late teens. I did not have any outbreaks after becoming an adult. I have not had very many sexual encounters in my life. I recently met someone and he asked me to get tested. I did and my hsv 1 came back positive at 2.64. Does this mean I can give him herpes?

If he doesn’t have hsv1 then you can through oral sex or kissing. The odds are low but possible. Well over half the adult population has hsv1.

I'd also ask him to get tested. He may have hsv1 and not know it, as like feelingundone said, well over half the adult population has it, and 90% never get a cold sore/fever blister. If he has it, you can't give it to him again.
