hsv 2 having sex after 4 years
Hi, im back and got better. Previously had ocd and anxiety disorder which explains why i was so paranoid and kept posting questions. Recently, i finally had sex one time with my friend. Hes aware and willing to take the risk but with a condom. I gave him oral sex and our sex was quick. I assume i had only genital herpes and never had any cold sores.
Towards the end then the atmosphere gotten really bad cos we realized its impossible not to have any skin contact where we realized the last 1/4 was the penis that couldnt be covered with the condom may have abrasion with me. It was only that little bit and awhile but becos i had not had sex for so long im afraid it will cause more friction and i just realized that day before that i shaved and there was a little bit of blood. Please advise me im really worried right now. I will be asking him to go for a test end of this month. Are there v high risk of transmission to him???

So for a first time wouldn't be that easy to get right? Im just worried as i just shaved that day and a little bit of cut and the condom did not cover all too
The chances of infection with no protection or antivirals are about 8% for a full year of sex, say 100 episodes.
Condoms are not too bad, maybe 30-50% cut back on these transmission chances.
Antivirals will cut the odds 50-70%.
Hence with condoms and antivirals, you can be looking at a 2% chance over 100 episodes of sex.

Mine is hsv type 2. For genital herpes in the scenario that i describe what are the risks of transmission?
That's great, the answer to your questions depends so much on the HSV type you have. Have you ever had an IgG test before? What were the results?
Actually i just got an updated test of my hsv last week. Doc says its ok should be a lower count than 4 yrs ago but i have not collected my results yet
