if respond to antibiotics is it likely not herpes
hey, i heard that herpes does not respond to antibiotics.. when i had my few bumps that scabbed over.. what i thought were ingrown hairs so i picked at them and put hydrogen peroxide as well as bactine on them which caused them to scab over in the first place i believe.. i discovered the girl i was sleeping with had bacterial vaginosis and she was prescribed some antibiotics... well since i thought they were infected hair folicles.. i took some amoxicillin to treat what i thought was an infection that i caught from her since well they were already iritated then i broke the skin by picking at them and allowed her bacterial vaginosis whatever bacteria that is to infect my hair folicles.. well i did notice they got less iritated and started to get a little better.. then i stole 2 or 3 of the pills that her doctor gave her for her bacterial vaginosis from her and they got noticeably and markedly better and ended up healing within about 2 days of taking the first one but they did leave slightly red spots (which i heard herpes doesnt usually leave marks?) and have no completely gone away. but anyways, my question is, if they responded to these antibiotics then is it likely that they were just infact hair folicles that were infected by her bacterial infection?
thanks yeah i understand i need to see a doctor. i will attempt to find a walk in clinic tonight after i finish moving and work. i put some tinactin on the patch of ringworm the other night have yet to apply any more but didnt notice a change in it.. i understand i need to apply it regularly.
there is nothing we can do at this point to help you on an online forum. You need to see a medical provider and get this looked at. There are many walk in clinics that are reasonably priced for things like this.

are you treating your ringworm? it can spread quickly if you aren't. You also need to be properly laundrying your clothing too and bedding and towels. google it for more info.

it just struck me.. scabies.. and i saw a pic of some and it resembles the ringworm like thing i have on my uppercalf. i dunno... man i gotta get to the doctor asap this is driving me NUTS~!!!!
and there has been what feels like a slight burn when i pee for the past 2 weeks and a weird tightness when i *** at the base of the scrotum.. but i just got the standard std test and came up negative for everything.. could this be a male yeast infection or something?
okay so this is extremely weird and before anyone says go see a doctor.. i know. i am trying, i have to wait a day or two til i can get some money. AND i am definately going asap. probably on the 1st.
so heres the scenario... i was standing in the kitchen eating some cold pizza i just took out of the fridge and i felt an annoying poke/pinch on my inner thigh but closer to the back of my genitals. so seeing as i had previously had symptoms. i ran to the restroom and took a look down there... nothing. so i attributed it to some hair that just got caught or tangled or somethin as it stopped. fast forward to 15 min ago (4 or 5 hours later)... i suddenly feel a real pinch on my thigh.. almost like i just got bit by something but a good 3 inch or more from my genitals, so i naturally grab and itch real quick.. stop and then about 30 seconds later it starts itching pretty bad and has a slight burn.. so i pull my sweats down and theres a redpatch of irritated skin and a raised bump that looks like a mosquito bite.. but i've been wearing sweats the last several hours and only was outside for a few minutes about 4 hours ago. so i jumped in the shower and the whole inner side of my right thigh about a patch if you were to make an oval from index to index thumb to thumb with your hand was itching and burning in about 3 distinct spots actually a little larger area but you get the idea. im looking down there and i just noticed a really really faint red ring in one of the spots similar to what i think is ringworm on the upperportion of my calf which has been around for atleast 2 weeks, a dime sized red patch in another spot, and a raised redbump in another spot. this rash really just appeared out of thin air in the matter of like a minute. after hopping in the shower while it burned for about 2 or 3 min i washed it down really well and its stopped itching but i can feel one spot where it feels like a hair is being tugged on and a slight warmness in the area.
my question is what the heck is this? i just finished looking down there and the area where the initial rash jumped up has seemed to have disappeared but i touch it and i can feel its warm and i dont really feel anything but there is one singular red bump that has appeared and is sitting there all alone.. i dont know if its from me just thoroughly washing or what. but does this at all sound like a herpes outbreak? does it just happen that quick and is it possible to just not break the skin and dissappear? if you are not familiar with my previous post.. nevermind im just gona add this to it so yeah. does it commonly go from base of shaft to opposite side on the thigh? or is this some kind of bacterial/fungal infection like ringworm because i've had the little thumb tack sized ringworm looking patch on my upper calf for 2 or 3 weeks...

so the point of that one is to see if you just recently got infected right? but it just isnt type specific? i would like to know if i just got it if i do have it.
you should never get the igm test done which is the one that they are describing as the recent infection test.

yeah i know but i've convinced myself i have.. the odds are just so against me.. showed signs that were either foliculitis or herpes... then to find out when she got tested she had hsv1... i mean what are the odds that i didnt contract it and it was just foliculitis.. and i know i need to get tested.. on the 30th i get paid and my dad is sending me some money on the first so i should have enough to go get the test done. which do you recommend? they said one tells you if you've ever encountered it or something.. and the other one tells you if you got it in the past 6 weeks.. the 6 week one is 200 and the other is 150... but he said something about the 6 week one not being type specific or somethin i dunno?
You don't even know if you have anything that can't be taken care of with some medication yet! Make an appointment to be seen tomorrow and get this looked at professionally.

pft.. whatever.. i hope she stays having somethin... i hate the girl for giving me whatever she gave me. i was responsible enough to know i didnt have anything.. and i used a condom... and she said she was clean and had been tested the previous month...... i hate that i've been safe all my life... not screwed all over the place... and i dont sit around just goin after pu*** and yet i get screwed over by some girl that is only concerned with her own situation so she she screws up my entire life. i think now she knew she had something and just didnt say anything hoping i wouldnt find out or would stay with her once i caught it because i'd been screwed... F**K her... everything i always wanted in life... the girl of my dreams and a loving family and kids now seems near impossible. the girl im still in love with but had to break up with due to a problem in long distance relationship after we graduated from college now wants to get back together... and i was sure it would happen someday.. but now i dont know what to do.. i wouldnt ever just get back togheter with her without telling her.. i care too much about her.. i wouldnt do it to anyone despite whether i care for them or not.. its a terrible thing to do.. but i dont want to tell her that i cant be with her because some random girl screwed me over.. she knows i had been seein a girl.. she'd been seein someone too.. but its just so f'd up... im damaged goods now and im ebarassed despite the fact that i was responsible in my situation. mostly though im just sad and wish i'd never met this random girl... i was better off on my own... now im pretty much destined to be on my own.. because i'll never love a girl like i do the one i want to be with but cant be because of this.
Some only thrive in certain conditions which is why most of the bacteria that infect a female's urogenital tract, isn't an isssue for males.
She should've never given you the medication for the same reasons I gave to you. She needs to call her provider and let them know that she'll need a few more pills to properly finish treating her infection.

she gave me the pills... so yeah i didnt really "steal" them.. how can a bacteria distinguish to only cause infection in only a vagina.....
The CDC backs that bv is not an issue for the male partner and there's no reason to treat the male partner of a female who has bv. The literature backs this too. In couples where the female had bv frequently, treating the male made no difference. It was also quite wrong of you to take some of this gals medications for her bv so that she couldn't fully treat her infection. does she know that you did this?
At this point you need to stop self treating and go be seen. You've self treated enough with a little of this and a little of that so that it's probably not going to be easy to get even a remotely accurate idea of what's going on with you.

also... i just googled bacterial vaginosis to see if it could be passed to a partner to infect hair folicles and right away i found one that said that it can cause hair folicle infection.. and also what i noticed in another one was that if both people are not properly treated for it they will often reinfect eachother.. well she got full treatment for it while i did not.. and after all cleared up and she was better.. we had sex again and she immediately had a uti and infection again the next day... so that would seem to follow the theory that she passed a bacterial infection to me which i still had i guess it was not completely eliminated and i passed it back to her? wow i hope this is the case.
