I went to the website and found a location in my area and unfortunatley, they do not do the wb testing. Can you recommed someone in the georgia area to complete a wb test?
any doctor can order it for you. I don't know of any specific providers in that area.

results will differ from test to test and lab to lab. once they are +, they stay positive though out. if it's a newly acquired infection, results might go up somewhat but that differs from person to person too.

can you igg numbers go up at any point after the initial test results?
you have to have a doctor order the WB. if your regular doctor won't do it, find someone in your area who will.
you can check out the doctor's list on www.westoverheights.com to see if any of them listed there are near you.

Hi Grace,
what if the doctor won't order a wb, what do I do then? Am I able to pay for it thru quest on my own. No matter what the cost, I really really need to know. I have been miserable for the last 2 years and I am scared to death to tell anyone.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Confusing-Igg-Test-Results/show/771141 also this is a prior post that gives a good explanation about the low positives and why we recommend additional testing.

you really should repeat your igg blood test to see what it is. if it's still under 4, get a herpes WB. You can just get a WB now too if you can get your provider to order it. If they use quest labs it's test #34534

I went in for what I thought was a yeast infection and found out it was trichonomasis. I have always had std testing done, but did not know that herpes was not included.
i found out in October of 08. The trich result was in August (i believe) I have never had symptoms that i am aware of, and I was tested for both 1 & 2.
Typically we prefer here to let Grace or Jess review peoples results because they are trained in this.
When was your last sexual encounter before this test?
Have you had any symptoms?
What was this test on? HSV-1 or HSV-2?
Hello,
I'm struggling with this now. I'm freaking out. I have no symptoms, but all of a sudden to see if I have clamidiya, I tested IgG positive for herpes 1 & 11 at 2.15 and 2.16, respectively.
I find it very unlikely as I do not practice promiscuous sex and have no symptoms, as my partner does not either.
I have read so many conflicting things on the Internet. But from this site, it seems that we need a retest, which I did earlier today.
I hope we don't have it. I pray we don't.
