when cold sores are crusted, they are less likely to be transmitted but it's not 100% sure.

never a good idea to put your nose or lips on someone's eye area. many very common germs are very easily transmitted this way.

washing up afterward isn't of any help at all.

thanks for the reply!
well, i had some dry sores to the base of my nose, but from the left side
I was careless and tried to playfully put my nose in the eye of someone, for fun
but the sores were dry, also my sores were on the left side, and i try to "stab" hey eye with my nose on the right side. so its possible that the sores didnt make contact.
in addition, all humans insticitvely close their eyes when something approaches it, so if any contant was made it was made right below the eye, not inside, which is also difficult given the location of my herpes.
after that, she had a bath.

Well, again i want to thank both you, and this community. thanks!

You should avoid contact with people until the sore has completely healed.  Though the risk is low it still should be avoided.  What was the contact?
