kissing

i have boyfriend whom often has a  rash and around his lips, he clams that it is a wind burn like carpet burn but instead is the  wind. plus one of his ex-girlfriends say she has herpes on her face and is now taking pills for that.  I'm worried that he has herpes and does not know it. i have ask this question to him before dating him and of course he saids no. Im noticing that rash come on and off  appear on his face and he does complain about pain from the rash. So Im worry that indeed he does herpes and does not know it and Im worry that i will caught herpes from him as well. By the way i not been kissing him since i thought he might herpes if thats helps. And the ex- girlfriend well she says that she got herpes from another guy so i heard if thats helps as well.

You are both over 14 and in almost all states, you have complete autonomy and don't need parental permission for much of anything medical.  

He could have oral herpes. He could have a dermatitis of some sort going on. He could have a bacterial infection. He certainly needs a better work up to see what is causing his symptoms.

but i never had sex just him ,so should i  still get tested?
and we both are both under age  im 16 and he is 15, so would we need a parent to go with us and sign for us.Is there a possibly that he does have herpes given what I said?

definitely you need to talk to your guy about this since it's worrying you. why not suggest that you both go and get full std screenings and make sure that they include herpes igg blood tests and go from there?
