low igg, negative western blot

Question

i had 2 low positive hsv 2 igg results 1.84 and 2.02, no symptoms, this was done as routine std screening..i was told to follow up with western blot, it had been little over 5 months since sexual activity when my i took the western blot and it came back negative for hsv 1 and hsv 2, can i say for sure that i am truely negative?

That's the CPT code that gets submitted to insurance. The other number is a Quest number they use to identify the WB. Two completely different identifiers.

Im confused now, i got my bill im the mail for the western blot and the codes are 86695 and 
86696 but my results from my dr says hsv westerb blot (hswb) negative for antibody hsv-1 and hsv-2 by western blot. Where do i go.from here? I saw in a previous post of yours that these codes are wrong?

you are negative for herpes - that is the  part to discuss with your next partner. also discuss their testing too since odds are they won't have ever have been tested for herpes before.

when you are pregnant, you should have a herpes blood test done at the beginning of your pregnancy and your partner at that time should be tested too. Best to use the herpes WB for yourself for future testing due to your part false positive issues with other testing too.

I was also on antibiotics daily for acne when i took the western blot, not sure if that would effect my results?
