never-ending pain?

fg6
I was just diagnosed with ghsv1, and this 1st ob was a doozy. It's been about 3 weeks, there are no lesions anymore, but everything still hurts like hell. I still have some itching, some tingling nerve pain, and a whole lot of ache - like after birthing a kid. The pain is constant, it never goes away.
How long will this last? Will I ever get back to normal?

Thanks. I'm going to see my ob/gyn tomorrow; then I can find out if anything else is going on.

Hi, this would be very unusual to have the pain your describing from herpes. Its possible you have something else going on like a fungal/yeast infection. The first outbreak would be the worst and if you have another you might consider antiviral as inhibits the virus and aids in healing.
