I just became a lifeguard at this county pool. sometimesi get in when it gets hot and obviously we have shifts sometimes leaving the seat we alllll sit in, wet. I just noticed only like 3 pimples around the outside of my vagina...they dont hurt, itch, or irritate me one bit. have had no signs or symptoms of hsv or anything....could this just be something else? pimples? or irritations from the water or hot weather im in all day?? (sweating)...
PLEASE help if you can im soo curious!

Well if you don't intend on going to be seen this week and have this looked at and appropriate testing done - you shouldn't bother returning to the board to post because you'll have just wasted our time.  Life goes on was spot on with saying that continuing to ignore these symptoms is not in your best interest.

Listen these symptoms you have are not to be taken likely.  Find yourself a free clinic for crying out loud.  This can get worst all because you refuse to take your health seriously.  A yeast does not cure itself or go away.  Wake up!  Stop being stubborn.

No one in this forum wanted Herpes and we experienced embarrassment, shame, doubts, etc.

You will not be the first or last to be infected with herpes, or have a yeast, or bacterial vaginitis.  The longer you prolong it the worst it will be for you in the long run.

I wish you luck!

thanks alot grace! well i am praying its nothing other than would could be a yeast infection...if it gets worse im gonna get it looked at ....i should probably either way but its not a terrible rash. Its just a few pimple looking things. dont hurt, itch, burn or anything or that sort but ive just never seen them before. Im going to look up information for symptoms of yeast online. thanks a lot tho!

I would not put off going to be seen about this any longer.  If it is a std then it's a risk to your fertility by not treating it promptly depending on what std it is. Even if it's just a plain ole bacterial or fungal vaginitis - the longer you don't treat it the worse it will get and the harder it will be to clear it up. You are sitting outside in the sun all day sweating and wearing a bathing suit - that's PRIME yeast infection conditions!  Don't self diagnose though - go be seen and properly tested so you can start treatment. I don't recommend the otc creams if you are a lifeguard - you don't want to be sitting there and have last nights cream all running out being gross and clumpy and sitting in it for another hour until you get your break to go clean up a bit. If your provider says it's a yeast infection ask for diflucan ( the yeast infection pill they can give you ) and ask for plenty of refills.  Unfortunately if this is yeast it'll probably come back a few more times this summer :(

I know it's hard to walk in and have strangers look in between your legs but I'd just go in and approach it as you think you have a yeast infection from being a lifeguard. Nothing too overly embarassing about that - that's just part of being female.

thanks for your advice and help i appreciate it. i guess its just me being paranoid and nervous because once i go to the doctor and get tested, i will be afraid for the results like no other. this could just be pimples or a rash since i work in sweat outside all day, but it also can be hsv. i guess my best bet is to just get a full screening. does it cost any money if its at a family clinic? and do the doctors ask you for like the persons number that you last had sex with? cuz that is really embarrassing if that is the case....

thanks!

Hello,

Neither Grace nor anyone here can diagnose you, not even a doctor.  You have to be seen to be properly diagnosed.

Please understand that she is trying to assist you, and believe me she does a lot a great advise here on this forum.  You should never pop any pimples in your genital area.  If that were genital Herpes you could have spread that on your hands, now that doesn't me you do not have it.

According to my doctor not everyone experiences outbreaks.
Symptoms other then outbreaks:
Itching
Redness
Numbness
Tingling sensation
Females can experience outbreaks on the inner walls of their vagina.

Genital Herpes symptoms can last up to 8 - 14 days.

You need to get yourself tested.  For years I thought a pap smear testing me for all STD's.  At age 32 I learned that that is not the case.  You have to request a full screening to be tested for Herpes, HPV, or HIV.

I strongly advise you to get tested.  Seriously!

what is the difference between an std and vaginitis?  i was confused by the way you said that. cuz im not fixated on anything i just would rather know what it is without having to go anywhere (which i know is impossible) but i might wait til i go back to college because i feel more comfortable going up there; which is where i had the pap and got b.c.

Also 2 weeks of asking questions and not having seen your provider is not what this forum is for.  You need to do your part too.

A pap test only looks for abnormal cervical cells. It doesn't test for std's. also you seem fixated that this has to be a std instead of something very common like vaginitis.

Go be seen and find out what is going on - it's the only way to get answers.

I repeat - you need to go see your provider.  It's impossible for us to diagnose you online like this.

heres my last post adding on to this one so you can read it all together...thanks for your help!

i had a post a week or two ago about seeing a couple red pimple looking bumps on my outer genital area (not inside) but they didnt itch, irritate, burn or hurt me at all;no burning while peeing or anything. anyway, those went away, but there are now a couple on the bottom of my buttock cheek...sounds weird but they dont have any itching or ANYTHING following...again, i am a lifeguard sitting in the sun and sweaty/wet most of the day....could this be herpes or just something else (because of no irriatation from the or anything at all)

im worried. please help!
thanks a lot! :)

you are sweating plus wearing a bathing suit all day which doesn't allow your skin to breathe well. This could be many things because of all this.

you mean it coule just be from irritation or pimples? can you bet pimples from swetting down there?? i thought it was possible...again i havent had any irritation, buring while peeing, or itching or anything....so im just curious....and theyre starting to go away...it might even be from shaving but im not sure...they looked like pimples so i popped them and theyve been fine since....didnt hurt...

i just need some reassuring or informing....

It's more likely something else. See your provider for proper testing.
