possible cold sore

i got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday ( the 6th of march) and later in the day i noticed a little red strip coming off left side of lower lip. i was possibly exposed to hsv-1 nearly two months ago by kissing a woman with no noticable signs of anything on mouth, lips, etc. my boy even checked out her mouth when talking to her and said so. also, to note quickly i had an igm/igg herpes select test three days after said exposure and i was negative for both types of herpes.  Never had any symptoms (ie. bumps, tingling, itching, etc.) since possible exposure. Now this new possible cold sore doesn't itch, tingle, burn, etc. like cold sores are suppose to as i have read. I'm wondering if its possible for cold sores to not itch, burn, etc. though i do know they say that surgery is a supposive trigger for herpes outbreaks. As a precautionary measure have been rotating all day between herpecin-L and abreava all day while minding my pain from surgery

i did have a possible exposure to hsv-2 orally 3 + months ago but i have read on these forums by a few people that hsv-2 is rare and accounts for sub 5% of all oral infections and if you were to contract it you'd usually see symptoms of it in a few weeks if infected with it and that never happened with me. i'm actually going to get tested for my possible hsv-2 exposure (also, had protected sex in same encounter) in week or two so i should find something worth knowing soon enough. anyone wanna speculate on this situation or offer advice i'd truly appreciate it.

You just had a procedure done. it's probably directly related to that. You had a lot of things inside your mouth that probably caused irritation.

It's too late to go and have one done at this point.  You've been applying too many topicals.

You have herpes on the brain matt.  Really are other things out there.

Matt,

I had all four of my wisdom teeth cut out all at once. I woke up with cracks on my lips from being dry, rawness on the inside of my cheeks and a painful jaw. I would calm down... It would probably tingle, itch and hurt if it were an open blister.

it was wierd this morning i woke up with a flesh colored raised bump half way down my inner thigh at like 7 am. It looked alot like Molluscum Contagiosum from pics online. But after going back to sleep(recovering from wisdom teeth removal) and waking at 1 pm the bump was flat and only very slightly red, is this possibly due to herpes at all? Plus, the possible cold sore on lower lip still doesn't hurt, itch, tingle, etc after 2 days (don't even know its there unless i look in the mirror). It has gotten only slightly better with constant 2 day usage of abreva and herpacin-l. i'm beginning to think its not a cold sore anyone have any opinion on this matter. I'm confused and in pain from these damn wisdom teeth.
