preoccupied

I'm three weeks into my first oral outbreak. The scab has fallen off about 4 days ago. I have another spot on my lip. Finished 2 set of antivirals as it started on my eye lid a week ago. I'm consumed with worry about it. I cannot stop thinking of it and to top it off my fiance does not have it.
How do I stop stressing? I'm getting sick and its consuming my thoughts.
Thank you for listening and hopefully responding to my question

Thank you for responding. We are both going to be tested to confirm status. I may have contracted it recently from a friend whose had them since childhood. My fiance and I have been together 8 years with no symptoms.. I have other medical issues that would make it very unlikely to have never had an outbreak.

I am taking valtrex 500mg twice a day. I'm not sure if that's a standard dose.

I'm sure that I have some other type of eye infection and will try to get in to see my eye doctor.
Thank you again.

has your fiance been tested to know his status?  it came from somewhere right?

have you been seen to have your eye lid tested to confirm herpes?  many things can cause symptoms like this and when it's spreading like this despite oral antiviral use, it's time for further evaluation.
