i have taken a hsv test 1 and 2 and my results came back postive for both 1 and 2 at atleast >5. i dont understand and i am really freaking out. i have never had any outbreaks from either one or two. last year i took one and my results were negative and i have been with my boyfriend alone. PLEASE HELP

it's not likely to be a false positive if it's igg results over 5.

your partner needs to be tested to see what their status is next.

no he never got tested yet. are you telling me that it can be a false positive? because i have never ever had any break outs. no break outs, no cold sore, no oozing bumps around my mouth or my vagina. mof...i have never had anything on my body

those are both positive and above the typical false positive range.

did your partner get tested for herpes to know his status?

it was a type specific hsv1 igg >5 and a hsv2 igg >

was that a combined herpes test where you just received one result for both hsv1 and hsv2 or was it a type specific test where you received a hsv1 igg >5 and hsv2 igg > 5?
