some help!!

Hi terri

recently I posted on here asking for your help and i was very satisfied with the results.

So my situation is....recently i started having a problem with urination. I dont go to the toilet as often and when i do
go to the toilet i dont urinate as much as what i used to. Ive also developed a dry cough. I read that these could be symptoms of herpes hsv-2 when it affects the nervous system and also the bladder. There is no pain during urination and also there is a very slight itch on my pubic area although it tends to come and go and sometimes im staeting to think its all in my head.

I recieved the results for my STD test and i was negative for anything but they do not test for herpes unless you have symptoms showing.

Do i have a reason to be worried?

Your advice is greatly appreciated

Is it possible?  I don't know statistically.   Have I ever seen it in 32 years of practice?  No.

I know many people who have gotten a herpes antibody test in Australia, actually.  Not sure what the problem is that you are having.  And no, I don't believe this is related to herpes, after all this time.

the STD centre I went to in my city was very helpful too and i was planning on going back there on tuesday (Monday is a public holiday in my city) to talk to them about my symptoms. I think im starting to let my fear and anxiety get a hold of me because of the urinary retention.

I live in Australia but they will only test you for herpes if you have any symptoms. Do you believe that this is a symptom of herpes?

When people have urinary retention (inability to pee fully) with herpes, it is almost always with first infection when there is so much virus on the nerve that the nerve is unable to function correctly.  This is not a recurring thing in my experience, it happens at the beginning of first infection and resolves within a week or two at the most.

A dry cough has nothing at all to do with herpes, nothing.

Where do you live that you can't get a herpes test?

I forgot to mention. I also had a slight feeling of nausea which im guessing was caused by taking staphylex 500 which i mentioned in my last post.

I am sorry for asking all these frequent questions  and im starting to sound like im getting carried away with anxiety about possibly being infected with herpes
