swollen gland under neck and sore

I'm a 31y/o female with very frequent mouth sores and swollen glands (only the gland under the chin, not on the sides is swollen).  Is this herpes?  I've also recently had a sore on my face (around my chin (not on my mouth) and it drained and I had the same swollen gland under my chin, but no swelling on the sides.

Usually sores inside the mouth are not herpes. You need to pursue a further work up about all this.

Also look at the toothpastes and such you are using. If you are using a whitening, tartar control, complete or total type toothpaste - switch to plain ole regular toothpaste and see if that helps. The toothpastes I've listed are loaded with acids that many folks just don't tolerate.  Same with the teeth whitening products you can buy.

As for the sore on your face you had drained - did they send it off for a bacterial culture?

I'm sorry that I did not clarify "mouth sores", I should have stated "sore on lip (outside versus inside).
I haven't been to a doctor yet to have the sore (on my face) checked.  Also the swollen lymph node is very painful.

Well it could be a bacterial infection. It's well worth going this week and having it all looked at so you can get answers.
