They have studies following folks for 20+ years and they still test + on the blood work. If you really need the peace of mind get a herpes WB.

Not within your time frame.  If it was 6 months, this isn't herpes.

No it's not common but you sound like you really need the peace of mind. Since you are having symptoms that no one is sure what they are, you need follow up.

so does that mean that my blood test are not accurate?  is it common to have neg. blood tests and symptoms?

should you get a return of symptoms, see your provider within 24-48 hours for further evaluation. they should be doing lesion cultures and typing on active symptoms, not blood tests.

is it possible that with my symptoms that  my  neg. hsv-1 igg type spec. and  neg.hsv-2 type spec. blood tests that i have hsv-2 and the antibodies just aren't going to ever show pos. with a herpeselect blood test?

You do not have hsv2 - your 1.5 hsv2 igg was a false positive since all other testing has been negative for hsv2.

so one more question so the hsv-2igg 1.5pos. is not accurate since i have 2 neg. herpeselect test ran am i right about that?

That's a non-type specific test. The testing you've had done they do the non-type specific first and if it's positive then they do the type specific testing.

yeast infection, irritation/friction etc.

so the rash and the vaginal ulcer could be from a yeast infection?

if you are still having symptoms, return to your provider for proper testing to determine if it's still yeast or if you over corrected your ph and now have bv going on.

No reason to suspect genital herpes - your 1.5 hsv2 igg was almost certainly a false positive.

probably something non-herpes going on.

Did you get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too at all?

does it sounds like herpes with 2 neg. herpeselect tests and 17 years since last exposure?

Should you get a return of vaginal symptoms you should see your provider within 24-48 hours of their appearance for further evaluation.
