what on earth is going on with my tongue?

So i have these sores that keep popping up on my tongue. Sometimes it's one or two or three. within 2-3 days they're gone. Then out of the blue, maybe 4 days later, BOOM there's another one. They look like little cuts. They're just red patches that are sunk in. They hurt a little bit, especially when I gargle with mouthwash. Also, I did just buy a new tooth brush about a week ago, but when I brush my teeth my whole mouth is just gushing with blood. I mean it's getting ridiculous.

This whole fear of mine (HIV & Herpes) stems from the fact that I had sex with a prostitute on February 6th. On February 24th I got the full rash, fever, oral thrush. muscle fatigue. I've tested negative for HIV 3 times now. All antibody tests. One at 20, 36, and 56 days, respectively. Tested negative for Herpes on day 36, but it was an iGM test which I've read is a joke..not sure why my doc used that.

This crap with my tongue has been going on for the past 2-3 weeks now. It's like I had thrush for 3-4 weeks, seemed to go away, now these sores keep coming an going. Is this Herpes? Could it still be HIV?

Thanks,
Jon

I know it was a bad decision. Not sure what your point is in bringing that up. The thing is I don't have any sores on my lips, just on my tongue. Would herpes be on the lips as well?

Hi  jonhoosier,
It was such a bad decision on your part to have sex with a prostitute. There are very good chances that the symptoms on your tongue are for Herpes. It takes about 2-3 months for antibodies to build up in your body after one gets infected with herpes virus. So you will have to wait for for few months to be sure about your infection. For HIV it would be further 3 or 5 months wait before a test should be done. You should do some on line research regarding this. It would be best to consult a good doctor / your physician at the earliest. Though the damage has been done. Still stay positive. Eat good & sleep well to keep your immune system strong.
