why did I test negative on swab and blood work?

I tested negative 18 months into my current relationship swab negative for both and type specific blood test postive for hsv1 (but i get cold sores) negative for hsv2. I can't shake the feeling that I have something.I don't wash with soap stopped shaving did everything to prevent infections. My pubic hair itches and sometimes I get bumps and pimple like things on my clit and after a few days their gone. I cant stop looking. The looking has gotten to the point where I have hemmroids from squating so much. Do I need professional help or should I accept my genitals are infected?

You do not have genital herpes that is certain.

Antivirals would not have impacted your test. Do not take these.

Maybe you have an oral HSV1 infection as this can be missed with IgG testing but also maybe what you think are cold sores are not.

I was on antivirals three days before igot the blood work. Doctor said not to worry since I've been with him for 18 months before i got tested. So why am I still worried?  Could all of this be because I stopped taking my anxiety meds?

Hi, since you tested negative for hsv2 you can rule that out and since you get lip cold sores your hsv1 is almost certainly oral from childhood.
